Prime Princess of my Heart

This is Aria Sophia, the wondrous girl who makes my heart sing like no other! I will continue to post her photos here instead of individually e-mailing them, so keep checking back!

Emily & Joseph

This is one of my favorite portraits, it captures the essence of how I feel about photographing children; capturing a moment, the joy and abandon of exploring the world, this image embodies my philosophy without the words!
Joseph is such a great big brother, he is so sweet and patient with Emily! It always makes me smile to see him at the door when I arrive, so eager and excited for our session!
I think everyone should have a portrait of their young, sweet children holding hands, so when they are at the glorious ages of 13 and 11 and don't believe you when you tell them they used to hug and hold hands, you'll have proof! (Not to mention how good you'll feel looking at it ten years later!)

Incredibly Loving Parents

I love how peaceful and secure Willow looks being carried next to her Mommy's heart all the time!
Babywearing means the world to Kelly, (It did to Aria and I as well!)

I love to capture relationships, what people and children and families MEAN to each other, not just what they look like sitting in a row like traditional portraits. I love this photo of Willow and David, I love that neither of them are looking at the camera, it's their intimate moment together, with his arms encircling her, kissing her cheek, she very safe & content in Daddy's arms...

Willow and her Beautiful Hammock

Another facet of my work that I value so much, is the ongoing relationship I have with most of my customers, seeing and documenting their children's growth over the years. It's fun to look back at older sessions and see the changes! This is Willow at 4 months already!

Beautiful Willow!

Is this a sweet, sweet face or what!
Kelly's final belly portrait! (She was gorgeous her entire pregnancy!)

Kelly & David

Kelly & David are another beautiful couple who are amazing to work with. I had the very good fortune to "chronicle" their pregnancy about every 5 or 6 weeks. I say good fortune, because being a part of their excitement, anticipation and great love for each other and their child was a blessing & an honor.

Amazing Couple, Amazing People

This is my friend Ben and his beautiful wife Jen. Ben is a very talented artist and really understands when I yammer on about my visions and composition and painting with light etc... They give me free reign to create something beautiful for them, that trust in me allows the session to be an immensely enjoyable, collaborative experience, as they all should be!

Evangeline

a

This is Abby's sister Evangeline. It is so MAGICAL photographing newborns! It always takes me back to Arias first few weeks and the awe and the wonder I felt at the precious bundle in my arms... Now she is a very precious toddler who makes me fall crazy in love with her many moments of the day with silly and sweet antics! I know it's cliche, but they do grow up ridiculously fast, which is why it means so much to me to capture those ephemeral moments along the way...

Abby Lou at the Botanical Gardens

OK, I adore photographing little girls among flowers, I can't help it they're both so enchanting! Abby is very FUN to photograph, she has a strong and sweet personality and can really turn it on for the camera when she wants to!

Pretty Jolie

This is my niece Jolie last Spring in Grandma's garden and then this Fall with her Mom and Dad. She has such a delightful personality, and is quite a social butterfly. I love spending time with her, between that sweet gorgeous face and some of the things she says, I always melt.

My Mom doesn't mind at all how many of her beautiful blooms get plucked by little fingers! The pleasure she gets from watching her grand daughters enjoy her flowers outweighs anything else. I love to use her gardens as backgrounds because they are works of art!
